This is one of my favorite paintings I’ve ever made. Truth be told, I almost didn’t paint it, because I was intimidated by the texture of the toast. So this now serves as a reminder to myself that if we don’t push ourselves to attempt the things we’re afraid of, we’ll never know if we could, in fact, succeed.
